Meet Sue Hean
Sue is an Edinburgh-based interior designer and stylist known for creating thoughtful, characterful interiors that feel both personal and timeless. Her work blends old and new with ease, bringing warmth, individuality and quiet confidence to every space.
With a naturally curious and research-led approach, Sue takes time to understand each project’s unique possibilities, listening carefully and translating ideas into clear, considered design direction. She is valued for her creative eye, strong visual communication and attention to detail, whether supporting a residential renovation, styling a home or contributing to photo shoots and brand imagery.
Sue studied at the KLC School of Design in London, and with interior stylist and art director, Lucy Gough, who has worked for many years with UK magazines Livingetc., Homes & Gardens, Sunday Times Style and well-known companies including Heal’s, John Lewis, Marks and Spencer and Dulux.
Before moving into interiors, she spent 20 years working in public relations and residential property marketing, giving her a strong understanding of how homes are presented, experienced and valued. This background, combined with her instinct for design, allows her to work particularly well with clients who want professional guidance delivered in a calm, collaborative and approachable way.
Passionate about helping her clients shape beautiful, functional spaces that reflect how they live, Sue enjoys working with trusted property professionals who want to connect their clients with high-quality, personalised interior design support.
